A lavender solution to rainy days

Lorie Costigan - Monday, May 01, 2017

After a relatively mild winter, the lavender plants have been uncovered and are greening nicely. Now is the time to lightly brush your plants and help remove any dead foliage. The remaining leaves will begin to green when the sun finally shines! The forecast calls for rain, rain and more rain, dimming the liklihood of any field work in early May. We are eager to finish a new field for Buena Vista, an electric blue English lavender with long, vigorous stems and anticipate planting later in the month.

In the meantime, we're stocked for summer and are happy to introduce our travel candle in rosemary & lavender, rose geranium & lavender, and lemon verbena & lavender. If your summer calls for travel, or if the rain has your nose wishing for some natural, sweet scents, our travel candles will fit the bill nicely. We're offering a special on our online store. It's 10-percent off and free shipping for the next two weeks. Just type MAYDAY in the box for discount codes in the online shopping cart.

Happy May! Bloom is not far away now!
